How bright are Led wind-up lanterns?

I've seen LED wind-up lanterns for sale. Can anyone give me a description of the level of brightness that they emit? Is there any way to compare their brightness with a xx Watt bulb (for example, do they have the brightness of a 40 Watt bulb, 20 Watt bulb )? Can these lanterns light up a room? Are they good enough for reading as a stand-alone light? Thanks in advance.

ive used a few and the brightness differs by model. in my opinion, they provide a very minimal amount of light unless rigorously charged. I would equate one to probably a 15-watt bulb at best. don't expect it to light up a room or even be visible more than 6 feet away unless your in the pitch black dark.
