Handle Soft Grip

Why do i get finger pains when i grip anything. like an electric shock?

About a week ago, i grabbed my door handle, and i got a weird feeling/mild pain run down my middle finger. It felt almost like an electric shock, so i put it down to static, that just felt different.
Then two days later, it happened again, on a chair at college. So i pressed where the pain came from (underside of the knuckle closest to the finger nail) and i felt a very small, soft-ish lump, which when i pressed on, gave me this tingly/shocking pain. The pain is still bearable, plus it only last the length of time i use my finger, but i have noticed the pain is getting stronger.
anyone know what this is, or have it too. Do i need to see a doctor?
please help
