What is the best food to feed a tiger oscar?

I am about to buy a baby tiger oscar and i was wondering what's the best thing to feed baby oscars or oscars in general?

It is best to keep them on a steady diet of a good pellet food, like Hikari Gold. You do need to keep their diet varied though, for this you can feed worms, crickets, other insects (you can find them but make sure they have not been in contact with pesticides and they are not poisonous), there are also beef heart recipes out their for you to make for them, I will leave a link at the bottom for you.

Like already mentioned, feeder fish are a bad idea for multiple reasons. First they are usually not kept in great conditions at the stores and are a good way to give your Oscar parasites, or many other diseases that could kill you fish, or cost you money to treat. Also feeders contain an enzyme that breaks down in the fish and creates a vitamin deficiency in the Oscar, this can lead to a disease called Hole In The Head (HITH).

Also, Oscars will eat anything, this dose not mean you should feed them anything. I have heard of people feeding them; ham, turkey, lunch meat, cat food, dog food, pond pellets, hot dogs, sausage, and many other things. All of this is very bad for the fish and will affect the long term health of the Oscar.
